Ander was never a part of my plan but when he came tearing into my life, I welcomed his destruction with open arms.
Our demons danced in the darkness together to a haunting melody of their own.
But Ander craved the poison that he injected into his veins and in the end, that was the only thing that mattered.
Contrary to the popular belief: love does not conquer all.
His love for heroin won.
His love for me died.
Or so I thought…
One fateful night, one detrimental accident.
That’s all it takes to shatter my already fragile world.
He’s come back to ruin me what’s left of me.
And even though I shouldn’t be, I’m ready for his pain.

My addiction stripped me of the only person I had ever loved.
There was no going back from what I did to her and how I betrayed her, but I would give anything just to see her one more time. To hear the soft sound of her voice, to feel her skin against mine…
Slowly peeling open my eyes, I lift my head, looking back down the street and watch the cars as they speed past. Turning my head in the opposite direction, I glance back toward the hospital and my heart stops beating in my chest. My breath catches in my throat and all of the air is stolen from my lungs. My surroundings fade away and I’m frozen in place, staring at a fucking ghost.
The very ghost with those hazel eyes that haunt my mind.
Hadley fucking Winters.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This heartbreaking journey of addiction will leave you broken. Ander’s story is so raw, emotional, and as real as it gets. I wasn’t prepared for all the emotions that I felt while reading this book. I only thought the last book did me in, but this one pulled me even further into Ander and Hadley’s story. Gosh…my emotions are all over the place. Watching and feeling their pain and heartbreak kept those pages turning into the wee hours of the morning. I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to get the next book.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
