My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh Wow!! This story just continues to suck me in the deeper we go into Ivy and Santigo’s story. I am loving it more and more as their story continues in this book. The twist and turns of this dark, suspense filled story has had me on the edge of my seat thinking that I have it all figured out and that these two are finally on the same page with their relationship then BAM another twist. One minute these two are hot and cold and then the next minute these two are so HOT together that they are setting the pages on fire. Ivy deep down knows that Sanitigo isn’t the monster that he sees himself being and Santigo is torn between his feelings for Ivy. Their love/hate relationship has so much fire and ice that my head is spinning. I honestly am in love with this story. This book blows the first one out of the water. Yes, I liked the first, but the second has sealed it for me. I can’t wait to get my hands on the the third book. The story is so addicting that I can’t get enough and can’t wait to see what these two amazing writers has in store for us readers. Gosh….I’m just blown away with this story and thought that this was just going to be another predictable dark read and It’s SO NOT!!! If you are looking for a read that will suck you in and keep you on the edge of your seat, then look no further than this trilogy.

Happy Reading Everyone!!!

Andrew
I left behind my hacker ways and decided to become a P.I.
Of course, I was more of a cybercrime P.I. than an actual investigator.
But when her file fell in my lap, I knew I couldn’t walk away. Not yet.
She had the body of a vixen and the eyes of a killer.
I was terrified.
And yet strangely attracted to the woman.
Was it sane? Not at all. Every time I saw her, I was sure I would end up dead.
But there were worse ways to go…

Lorelei
I was finally free.
Well, almost. My husband had left me with a bit of a mess.
And his kids…don’t even get me started on them. All I wanted was my money, but that wasn’t going to happen until I could get my hands on my dearly departed husband’s trust.
In the meantime, I needed someplace new to live. So, I pointed my finger at the map and ended up in the cutest little town.
I just needed to make some friends, to blend in.
I could do that, and I knew just where to start…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Goodreads Review – “WOW…….What a brilliant final book to end another fantastic series……”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Goodreads Review – “This book was just a full on roller-coaster.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Goodreads Review – “Plenty of steam, humor, and more, with an ending to satisfy all.”

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Very cute!

I loved this. Joe and Sofia’s story is extremely funny. I absolutely loved their banter. I have enjoyed this whole series but this one by far has the most laughs.

When Sofia jumps on the back of a motorcycle to escape a marriage she never wanted, her life totally changes. Coming from being waited on and not wanting for anything turns into taking care off herself and shopping at Goodwill. I loved how she found herself and embraced her new life. Jie is great abs a wonderful character. I absolutely loved his story.

ABOUT

I don’t deserve her forgiveness, but I can’t stop myself from fighting for it.

Bay ran from me four years ago and I can’t blame her. I broke her heart and my own with one split second mistake.

If I were a better guy, I’d walk away and let her live her life, but maybe I haven’t learned my lesson yet because I can’t stop thinking about her. And I won’t stop until she knows how much I still love her.

The sins of my past are hard to run from, but I’ll battle every single one, if it means one more chance with her.

The Sin of Kissing You is the second book in the new Fulton U universe sports romance, Falling trilogy.

 EXCERPT

“Bay.” It sounded like a croak, a rusty gate of a word I hadn’t let myself say out loud in over a year. Somehow it seemed to be one of the few words I could utter in her presence.

“Let’s not.” Her words were sharp and final, but I couldn’t be this close to her and not talk to her.

“We need to.” Training camp was a grueling non-stop thirty days I’d prepared myself for. But it also meant she could dodge me as much as she wanted. Knowing she was closer than she’d been in years and not getting to say what I needed to say to her—that would kill me.

“We don’t need to do a thing. This story”—she gestured between the two of us—“ended back in Greenwood.”

She tried to push past me, but I couldn’t let her walk away, not yet. I didn’t have a single thing I could say to get her to stay. Not in the way I wanted. Not in a way she deserved.

Staring straight ahead, she pressed her shoulder against the metal doorframe.

I needed to back off. I needed to get out of the way. But this might be the last chance I ever got to be near her.

“I’m sorry.”

Her head snapped to the side. Our bodies were so close. We were sharing the same air, passing it between us like all those nights I’d drawn her, or watched movies with her, or just felt like the luckiest guy in the world because she was beside me.

“Too fucking bad. Take that apology and shove it so far up your ass you can taste the hair on your knuckles.” Her eyes blazed. Every muscle was tight, radiating the anger she’d let loose with every syllable.

“Well that was graphic as hell.” The corners of my mouth twitched, nerves getting the better of me. She had a harder edge to her now. Or maybe it was what being around me did to her.

“I wanted to paint the picture for you.” Her voice was low and biting.

I dropped my arm and stepped out of the doorway, still not giving her a clear path out. I was wrong on so many levels, but once again, I couldn’t stop myself. “Can we talk?”

“What about how our interaction has gone so far has made you think I have a word to say to you?”

“I-I thought you might want to talk.” My palms felt like I should have sweat droplets dripping from my fingertips. There were so many things I’d told myself I’d say the next time I saw her. I’d thought I’d have more time. A solid plan in place. Two brain cells to rub together. “Clear the air.”

Her cheeks were flushed like they’d get when she’d catch me watching her in class, or after I tickled her and she gasped, panting, after finally telling me to stop. Or the way they’d gotten when we’d stood on the football field in our caps and gowns and she told me to walk away.

“About you humiliating me in front of the entire school? About sleeping with me and then breaking my heart?” Her throat worked up and down. “Or about breaking my dad’s guitar?” Her voice broke and I wanted to chop off my own hand for what I’d done.

Her dad’s guitar. Standing in the sunny, summer afternoon, surrounded by our classmates, she’d told me what I’d done to something that had been such a precious memory of her father, and I’d known that was it. She’d never forgive me, but I needed to know she was okay. “Any of it. All of it.”

“There’s nothing you can say to fix any of those things. Not a damn thing.”

The Sin of Kissing You (Falling Trilogy Book 2)The Sin of Kissing You by Maya Hughes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My heart!!!!

I’m in complete awe. This was even better than the first book and I’m actually at a loss for words. My heart bested wildly through this. I ached for these two, hoping, praying for them. Each with their broken hearts and finding a way to mend them. I cried for these two and the ending devastated me. This one has the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers and the next book can’t come fast enough. You have to read this series!

♥Release Blitz & Review ♥ Bitter Vows by Dani René♥

From USA Today bestselling author, Dani René, comes the first book in the Crimson Falls Duet. A slightly twisted retelling of an age-old favorite.

A contract had been signed.
An agreement had been made.
She was mine. And I never lose my possessions.

However, my Little Red is not what I was expecting–sweet and submissive.
She’s fire to my ice, and together, we will detonate.

My heart has been locked away for so long. I don’t feel. I can’t. And she is certainly far too innocent for me to have. But one taste, one touch, and one soft whimper is all it takes for the rabid wolf inside me to bare its teeth.

But fairy tales don’t always have happy endings.

Please note: This is book one of two, and ends in a cliffhanger.
The second book will release shortly after the first.

Bitter Vows (Crimson Falls Duet #1)Bitter Vows by Dani René
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bitter Vows is a dark, twisted, fairy tale retelling of little red riding hood. It’s a little predictable, but not enough to take away from the story. It’s a story with a little bit of everything that your heart desires wrap up into one dark romance. I loved Lycan and Scarlett’s story that was just starting to unravel right before the cliffhanger, but luckily the author gives a little sneak peek into the next book. I am so ready to get my hands on it to see how this fairy tale will end. Will it be a HEA that I’m hoping for?? So many questions going through my head….

💗Release Blitz & Review 💗 The Truth Pact by C.M. Albert💗

The Truth Pact by C.M. Albert is now live!

They say the truth shall set you free.
They never tell you the cost.

Ryan Wells
Olivia North was everything I always wanted. From the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew nothing would stop me from having her. Not even being her professor. In the end, I got her. Got the white picket fence and historic home, too. But nothing could replace the babies we lost before they were ever born, or the sleepless nights that followed.

We made a pact once, in those early days of grief. We would always put each other first and be honest about everything. Because the only way through our mourning would be together. Until it wasn’t. When our last baby was stillborn, I was afraid I’d lose Olivia forever. The vibrant woman I’d married was slipping away under the weight of her unbearable pain. So, when Brighton Kerrington moves in next door to renovate his uncle’s property, and I see light return to those haunted blue eyes, what do I do? The one thing that could cost me my entire world.

I’d do anything to see Liv happy again–even if it means ripping my own heart in two to sew hers back together again. But when pleasure replaces pain, the truth exposes more than we bargained for. What was meant to bind us together in love might be the very thing that tears us apart.

The Truth Pact (The Truth About Love, #1)The Truth Pact by C.M. Albert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love triangles are my absolute favorite romance read and this one is unlike any that I’ve ever read. The Truth Pact is not your typical love triangle…it has a twist that I never could have imagined and I loved it. Olivia, Ryan, and Brighton’s story drew me in from the beginning and I absolutely fell in love with all three of them. At first I didn’t know if I was going to like the twist and I sit there going WTH is Ryan thinking by even suggesting this arrangement, but more into the story and I was like ok, I’m kinda getting the why. This is my first read by this author and I loved that she wrote a love triangle romance with this twist because it makes it so different than anything that I’ve read. This ends in a cliffhanger that will leave you with the noooooo moment because things are starting to get even more complicated than they already are. My mind is all over the place trying to figure out how this one will end. Can’t wait to get the next book.

Happy Reading Everyone!!!

Y’all this is so good. It’s all of my favorite genres mixed together….. YA… check, bully…check, sports romance….check. It’s everything all wrapped up into a pretty bow. The characters Lilly and Kaiden have parents with a long history and not a good one. These two have a immediate attraction but because of all of that history they know they can’t be together. A electricity keeps them coming together and their story is all kinds of drama. I totally enjoyed this amazing read and can’t wait for more of this series.

Excerpt

I assume there’s going to be a whole lot of jockeying for position in the first few weeks at Kingmakers. Every kid here thinks they’re the alpha — and they probably were, wherever they came from. But we can’t all be alphas at the school. There’s going to be a new hierarchy. I intend to be at the top, like always.

Bram probably thinks the same thing. He narrows his eyes at me, tossing back his longish hair and muttering something to his friends. The other Penose give me venomous looks.

Bram’s the next shooter. He rolls the point number three times before hitting a seven, ending the round. He scoops up his winnings, grinning.

“Hey Dmitry,” he calls. “Why don’t you come join?”

He’s calling to a tall blond boy who’s standing at the railing looking down at the water. The boy took his shirt off because of the heat. A Siberian tiger is tattooed to the right of his spine, done in the classic style as if it were crawling up his back. Because the boy is so pale, the tiger looks snow white with black stripes.

Dmitry turns around slowly, facing our group.

He looks right at me, and seems to recognize me immediately.

I get a similar jolt.

He’s strangely familiar, even though I know we’ve never met.

His eyes narrow, his jaw tightens, and his lip curls up in a sneer.

“No thanks,” he says, coldly. “I don’t like the company.”

“What?” Bram says, glancing back and forth between us. “The Amerikanets?”

“What’s wrong with Americans?” I say. I keep my voice level, but I’m looking the blond boy right in the eye.

Bram and I sized each other up last night, and it was clear that we both thought we were hot shit. Who’s shit is hotter remains to be determined. With Dmitry it’s something else. He doesn’t view me as a rival. He’s looking at me like an enemy.

“It’s not Americans,” he says to me. “It’s you.”

His voice drips with disdain.

Something in his tone, coupled with his coloring and the familiarity of his features makes it all click at once.

I’m talking to my cousin. He’s calling himself Dmitry, but this is Dean Yenin, I’m sure of it.

Not that Dean considers us family.

His father and my mother are twins. They were best friends growing up. Until my mom chose my dad over her own family.

Dean’s grandfather tried to kill everyone I know and love at my parents’ wedding: my uncle Nero, my aunt Camille, Uncle Dante, my godmother Greta, even my father. He succeeded in murdering my grandpa Enzo, so that I’ve only ever known him from a portrait that hangs in my father’s office.

And in return, my father reigned down bloody retribution on Dean’s family. Dean’s grandfather is dead, strangled to death by my dad. And his father Adrian is burned up worse than Vader from what I’ve heard.

So we are enemies, maybe more than anyone else on this boat.

I knew that Dean was coming to Kingmakers.

I knew this was coming.

But it’s something different to meet him face-to-face, after never even having seen a photo of him.

He’s the main reason my mother didn’t want me coming here. She’s tried to reach out to her brother over the years — tried to repair their relationship so they could at least have a measure of forgiveness, even if they could never be close again.

He never responded to her, not a single word.

It’s clear from the expression on Dean’s face that my mom was right. The Yenins weren’t just avoiding us. They fucking hate us still.

“Is that any way to talk to your cousin?” I say to Dean.

I won’t give him the satisfaction of glaring back at him. Instead I paste a grin on my face, like I don’t take him seriously. I know that’s the best way to really piss him off.

Sure enough, he takes another couple steps toward me, closing the space between us. Instinctively, everyone else steps back. They all know the feeling of a fight about to happen. That anticipation in the air, the electricity between two people itching to do each other harm.

“Don’t call me that,” Dean says.

It’s funny how even the simplest words can cut if they’re said sharply enough.

Dean hasn’t raised his voice, but he makes it perfectly clear that he isn’t fucking around. His fists tighten at his sides, and his shoulders swell as his body shifts into a more aggressive stance. He’s got the look of a fighter, as if he’s most natural in that position. If I were anybody else, I’d probably take a step back, cringing like a little bitch.

But I’m not somebody else.

I’m me. And I don’t back away from anybody.

“Don’t call you what?” I say. “Cuz?”

Dean takes another step forward until we’re within arm’s reach of each other. I’m taller than him by two inches, but he’s got a decent amount of muscle packed on his frame, and he looks fast too. I’m watching him carefully, though I don’t let it show. I stand there as relaxed and casual as ever.

“We’re not family,” Dean hisses. “Because your whore of a mother betrayed her family. She’s not a Yenin anymore. She’s just a piece of treacherous trash.”

I want to hit him so bad my fists are throbbing. I can’t let that go unanswered.

“The Yenins broke a blood oath,” I spit back at him. “I don’t know how the fuck you’re even here. You should be excommunicated. Whose cock did your father have to suck to get you back in?”

We rush each other at the same moment. I throw the first punch, right at his stupid fucking face. But to my surprise, he slips the hit so my fist barely glances off his jaw. I’ve never missed like that before.

At the same time, he hits me with a left hook that fucking rocks me. Dean may not be quite as big as me, but he’s fast as fuck and strong, too. My head is ringing, and my hangover headache comes roaring back.

I swing back at him, and this time he can’t quite duck it — at 6’5 I’ve got a fuck of a longer reach than he’s used to. I pop him in the cheek, raising an instant red welt under his eye.

In retaliation he slugs me back in the gut, and that fucking hurts too. Jesus he’s got a sledgehammer for an arm.

The howls of Bram and the other students draw the attention of the sailors. Two of the deckhands tear us apart before we can finish the fight. They’re big, burly men, and they fling us down on the deck shouting for us to knock it off.

The bigger of the two, a man with a glass eye and two sensuously entwined mermaids on his forearm, points a sausage-like finger at me and growls, “Raise your fists again and I’ll chuck you in the fuckin’ ocean. No fighting on board.”

He stands there, arms crossed over his broad chest, watching us both until Dean picks himself up off the deck and resumes his sullen position at the railing, and I head back toward the bow.

I climb up in the net once more, making Ares stir and mumble in the midst of his nap, and Anna glances up from her book.

“What the hell?” she says. “What happened to you?”

She’s staring at my face.

I swipe my hand under my nose, seeing blood smear across my knuckles.

“Little family reunion,” I say.

“Dean?” Anna asks, eyes wide.

“Who else.”

“Why’d you have to go and fight him?” Anna says.

“He started it. I was willing to be friendly.”

“For how long, two seconds?” Anna frowns.

“He called my mom a traitor!”

“Of course he did! You know what he’s probably been told. Did you even try to talk to him?”

“It’s not my job to talk to him!” I scoff. “His family are the fucking traitors, and if he says another word about my mom, I’ll break his jaw for him.”

“You’d better not,” Anna says, darkly. “You know the rules—“

“He’s the one—“

“They won’t care!” Anna cuts across me. “This is exactly what Aunt Yelena was worried about—“

“Oh, get off it,” I grumble at Anna. “I heard enough of that before I left.”

I hate when Anna acts like she’s on my parents’ side about me not going to Kingmakers. She should be happy that I came here with her, instead of taking my full-ride to the University of Kentucky. Does she want to be here alone? I thought she’d be thrilled that we’re both experiencing this together.

The thought of going to some school without her, any school, makes me sick to my stomach. She’s my best friend. We’ve always done everything together.

Michelle’s Review

The Freshman (Kingmakers)The Freshman by Sophie Lark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Sophie and I loved it. It’s a mix of mafia, bully and YA. Anna and Leo have grown up together. Their families are so close they tell people they are cousins. They start Kingmakers Academy which is college for mafia kids. Instead of math and English they are learning how to shoot guns and defend themselves.
The Freshman is exciting and suspenseful. There’s love, hate, revenge and excitement. I really enjoyed it and am excited for the next book.

♥Release Blitz & Review ♥ Hard to Lose by K. Bromberg♥

Hard to Lose by K. Bromberg is now live!

New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, brings you a romance about love, forgiveness, and living every day to the fullest. I know finding and signing a military vet to the agency is a long shot–but it’ll be good press just letting him try out. That’s what I tell my family, rather than admit I can’t get the letter he wrote us five years ago out of my head. But what I tell the bartender in his hometown is a lie. I know veterans protect each other. So I pretend to be a graduate student. Sparks. Flame. Fire. I accidentally got in too deep. I didn’t expect to develop feelings for Gunner Camden. And there’s no way I can admit to my lies now, not without destroying what we share. So I’ll keep faking it. *** There are two versions of me: before, and after deployment. Back then I was a screwup kid. I’d lie, cheat, and steal my way out of everything. My only love was baseball. After I started fighting, I found out there had been another path for me. One that involved my dream. But by then I had seen too much. The old me was dead, so I put my dreams to rest, too. Then Chase Kinkade walks into my bar and reminds me that life is meant to live. No regrets. Fresh. Happy. Hopeful. I can start to see a new dream, with her. But sometimes things are too good to be true… and dishonesty is the one thing I can’t forgive.

Hard to LoseHard to Lose by K. Bromberg

Wow! I started out not being a sports romance reader, but after this series K. Bromberg has changed my mind. I loved all of the books in this series, but this one was my absolute favorite of all. Chase and Gunner won my heart by far. I loved these two and their whole journey. I felt an instant connection with these two from the very beginning and I knew in the end that I would love them. Their story is a sexy, swoon worthy, emotional love story that I couldn’t get enough of. K. Bromberg did something that I thought no one could do and that is to make me love sports romance books. Hats off to her for an accomplishment that no other author could do. I really can’t recommend this series enough. Give this one a try even if it’s not your normal genre.

Happy Reading Everyone!!!

⭐Release Blitz w/Review ⭐Vandal by Rachel Leigh⭐

Vandal by Rachel Leigh is now live!

My mind hates what my body craves.

I have a secret.
A deep and painful secret that has been feasting on my insides.
Clawing at my heart and lacerating it in a slow and painful agony.

If Wyatt thinks that he can just walk into my life and rattle things up,
he's got another thing coming.

He's nothing to me.
Scum.
Dirt.
As good as dead.

You see, I have a secret, but so does he.
It's my turn to get my revenge,
and I can already taste the sweetness on the tip of my tongue.
No questions asked.
My secret stays mine.

His, however, is about to go up in flames.
I'll love nothing more than to watch him burn.

He better look out,
because this vandal is about to paint his world blood red.

Vandal is an MM romance with hate speech and content that may be uncomfortable for some readers. While each book in the series ends with an HEA, this is NOT a standalone and the series must be read in order.

Vandal (Redwood Rebels #3)Vandal by Rachel Leigh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I didn’t see that coming……

Oh the secrets this series holds. But Tommy’s. I would’ve never figured his out. We knew in the last book that something was bothering him…. well now we know what and who it was.
These two add to what is already a fantastic series. I love that the author took this in the direction that she did and gave me another couple to fall in love with. This series grabbed me from the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better.
